What Is a CDL Medical Card?
The U.S. Department of Transportation requires that all interstate commercial motor vehicle drivers maintain a current Medical Examiner’s certificate (medical card) to drive. This certificate requires the completion of a physical exam and some laboratory testing.
What Is a CDL Medical Exam?
Passport Health offers DoT/CDL medical exams which strictly follow FMCSA guidelines. These exams require the following tests:
- Vision test
- Hearing test
- Blood pressure test
- Medical history
- Drug testing (as needed)
Additional testing or requirements may be set by individual employers.
